How does it work?

  • We provide Cash Advances for Injured Clients

  • Legal-lending provides cash now in exchange for a portion of your settlement when it comes through. It is that simple. If you have a personal injury claim and you have a lawyer working on your case then you qualify to receive a cash advance today.

What We Do?

  • Legal-lending provides cash advances on pending personal injury, workers compensation and medical malpractice cases. We design a customized solution that suits clients’ particular needs. Advances are based on the merits of the case and repayment is based on the case settlement.

Why do I need legal-lending

  • Long hard fought legal battles take time. Not having the stability to endure the drawn out process makes you vulnerable to the other side. When you become desperate, you are apt to take an offer that is lower than what you may deserve. Our intent is to provide you with financial assistance so you are able to wait out the defendant and obtain a fair settlement amount.

What is the difference between a Cash Advance and a loan?

  • A cash advance repayment is contingent on the client receiving a judgment award or settlement. Loans are unconditional and require repayment. An Advance requires no monthly payments and does NOT have a term. Loans require periodic payments and terminate at some predetermined time.

  • An Advance does not have interest payments. Repayment is based on the risk associated with the case and depending on the estimated time of settlement. Loans have structured interest payments and payments are unconditional.

What steps are involved?

  • You contact your lawyer and let them know we will be reaching out to them.

  • Legal-lending contacts your attorney’s office.

  • Briefly reviews the facts of your case.

  • Once approved we fax an agreement to your attorney.

  • When you sign and return the agreement, we will overnight the money to your attorney’s office—it’s that simple.

  • No. There is no payment to legal-lending until your settlement comes through.

Do I need to qualify for this? Is there a credit check?

  • No. No Credit checks or income verification. Decisions are based on the strength of your legal claim.

Why do other companies not explain their fees upfront?

  • Some companies choose to hide their fees until you are approved and are unlikely to want to go through the process again so you accept their extremely high fees. We tell you our fees upfront before you even apply.

Is it legal to get a cash advance against a legal case?

  • Yes, the claim or lawsuit is yours and you own it, just like you own your car. After paying your attorney and medical liens, the potential remaining money is yours. You may sell or assign it.

Is possible for my attorney to lend me money?

  • The American Bar Association does not allow attorneys to lend cash to clients for anything but case expenses. This prohibition was established to prevent a conflict of interest from arising. If you owed your attorney money you might feel obligated to accept your attorney's advice to settle your case when you really did not want to accept the amount offered.
